All Answers To Questions

Answer 1

Do a search for "US copyright" and you will get a bunch of links to sites with the information.

Answer 2

A lawyer can do this for you.

Answer 3

It was legally copyrighted the moment you made it. Copyright is automatic. It applies in 160 countries that signed the Berne Convention on Copyrights. You can remind people of your copyright by placing a copyright symbol, date and your name on it, like, "Copyright © 2011KJM¿". If you think you might want to sue someone for using it without your permission, you may want to register it in the US copyright office as a work of "visual art". There are online forms at the copyright office website. Fees are minimal. If you use the logo in association with a product or service of some kind, you ALSO get legal trademark rights. You can remind people of those rights by using the TM or SM mark, perhaps along with the copyright mark. Like copyright you can also optionally register your trademarks, but in addition to federal registration you can register it in your state (or several states) if you choose.
