LOL! Hi Jerry. Technically a work is copyrighted the moment it's produced (i.e., not just "in your head", but in some tangible form). It used to be that it needed to be "published" first -- as in, visible to the public in some way -- but that's long since changed (more than 30 years ago!). Copyrighting a website is treated as an "online work" by the U.S. government. See the following: ** Can I copyright my website? http://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-protect.html#website You might also want to check this one, in light of the above: ** Do I have to register with your office to be protected? http://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-general.html#register ** Why should I register my work if copyright protection is automatic? http://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-general.html#automatic

You don't have to do anything to copyright your works, just state that they are copyright by you or your company and what year. You don't have to register with any agency or anything. Look at the bottom of the Yahoo page it states "Copyright © 2008 Yahoo! Inc. All Rights Reserved." Just put something like that at the bottom of every web page.
