How to post a video on YouTube w/o getting the music taken away b/c of Copyright?!?

How do I post a video that has copyrighted music on YouTube so I don't have to replace the music with some other stuff? How to override the copyright claim...legally? Thanks

YOU CANNOT OVER-RIDE THE COPYRIGHT CLAIM....LEGALLY. A lot of people can't seem to comprehend the meaning of copyright. It simply means if you made something, it's yours. If someone else made something, it's theirs. If you have created a video which is "100% uniquely yours" (without having copied something from elsewhere), then believe it or not, the copyright is yours. However, if you are using someone else's music and then uploading / distributing / retransmitting it, that is copyright infringement and against the law. As such, "EVERY SINGLE SONG IN THE WORLD" is copyrighted and belongs to either the composer, the artist, the record company, and/or whoever owns its publishing rights. It is "THEIR" music (even if you bought the CD), and they've got the legal right to do whatever they want with "THEIR" music -- including 1) not allowing you to use it or 2) getting paid for "distribution rights", "licence fees", "royalties" and/or the "expressed written permission" to use their music solely as per the contract terms signed between your lawyer(s) and theirs. If you have not paid for any of those, then you're technically "stealing" from them. Have you ever heard the music of Linkin Park, Led Zeppelin, Prince or Red Hot Chilli Peppers used in a commercial or television show? If they will not allow companies like Nike, Honda, Coke or Apple (or shows like CSI or Grey's Anatomy) to use their music for big bucks, they will definitely not let "amateur" YouTubers "defame" their song for what often are cheesy low-quality videos. However, there's "AudioSwap" -- for which YouTube has paid all the required fees -- allowing people to do whatever they wish with those songs. You are "good to go" with anything from the following artists: -- Evanescence (including songs like "Call Me When You're Sober") http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izYIO9VtjUs -- Finger Eleven (including songs like "Paralyzer") http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgaCHmxmeUo -- Drowning Pool (including songs like Let The Bodies Hit the Floor) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sO_QntXc-c4 -- Creed (including songs like "With Arms Open Wide") http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HdGUNm6-qI -- and a whole lot more. You can also check out all of the free music from these YouTubers: http://www.youtube.com/TrackOneRecordings http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyuzwdCt0GQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m916YeTTVNA * * not really free, but there are no fees, royalties or copyright issues NOTE: if you don't particularly fancy the songs in "AudioSwap", the most lenient of the big record labels appears to be EMI. So, search for an artist from EMI -- because lots of their songs are available on YouTube's "click-to-buy" iTunes, (as revealed in this YouTube blog): http://youtube-global.blogspot.com/2008/10/like-what-you-see-then-click-to-buy-on.html Thus here is a complete list of all of EMI's artists, although I'm sure that not all of them have signed-on and agreed to letting their music be available for YouTubers: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_musicians_signed_to_EMI
