My video on Youtube has been blocked because of copyright, how can I get it approved to play?

I recently made a remix of a song I like, and after posting it on YouTube I was told by my friend that when he clicked the link it gave him this message:
"This video contains content from WMG, who has blocked it on copyright grounds."
I spent a VERY long time making this and was very happy about it, not I'm not so happy..
I see plenty of videos on YouTube with this particular song playing, some just lyric videos and remixes. Why was mine blocked!?

because Warner Music group only allows a certain amount of videos that infringe their copyrights to stay up and be monetized
Others beat you to it. It's never a good idea to assume because others have it up, you can too.
or others have fixed the pitch of the song to stop the copyright claims from catching, and have not been caught yet.
you can't get approved to play. You Tube blocked it because Warner themselves doesn't want you to have it up << GO BACK to questions
