Where do you find and get a copy of the copyright symbol, the one with a " C " in a circle?

Where do you find and get a copy of the copyright symbol, the one with a big "C" inside of a circle? Say if someone wants to show that certain artistic material is legally Copyrighted. And they just want to typewrite, copy, or print it onto a jpeg picture near a piece of text?

All Answers To Questions

Answer 1

it's in ms word. 'insert' and 'symbols' and it'll be right there.

Answer 2

On a Mac it is alt+g (©).

Answer 3

In Word, just type (c) and it produces the symbol automatically. Or go to 'Insert symbol' and scroll through till you find it. In Windows generally, hold down the Alt key and type 0169: that gives you ©. In HTML, there are a few options; try this page (scroll down a little): http://www.copyrightauthority.com/copyright-symbol/ Hope this helps.

Answer 4

You can also do it in Word by holding down the control, alt and letter C buttons.

Answer 5

Just enter it. See the information page at http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/char/00a9/index.htm for three different HTML entity names. If you type any of them in many forums, including this one, the entity will turn into the symbol. Under Windows you can also check that Num Lock is on, hold down the left Alt key, type 0169 on the numeric keypad, and then release the left Alt key. This only works if your 8-bit Windows character set is Code Page 1252, as it should be if your main language is almost any western Euopean language, such as English. See http://ipa4linguists.pbworks.com/ which is intended to aid linguists to obtain Unicode phonetic symbols under Windows, Macintosh, and LInux, but the methods suggested work for almost any Unicode character including the copyright symbol (©). See also the main system menu → All Programs → Accessories → System Tools → Character Map for a method of pasting it into any application.
