Would a webcomic need a visual art copyright form or would it be a literary copyright form?

I was wondering if a webcomic can be copyrighted and if it could, under what form category it would qualify. As a literary copyright or a visual art copyright. I am copy righting at http://www.copyright.gov/forms/ If anyone could tell me that would be great.

I believe you can choose either. With a Literary Works application, you have the option to select the accompanying artwork. With a Visual Arts application, you can select the accompanying text. Either way, both aspects are protected. I believe this is similar to a website registration, where because it doesn't quite fit into an existing category, you would simply choose which category you'd like based on which material there is more of. I would say that if there's a great deal of text and the images are secondary, go with the Literary, or vice versa. Hope this helps!
