I want to create a website featuring the wallpapers of many popular hollywood celebrities. Found some good number of images from public domain which i can use too.. Can anyone explain me the rules of the copyright in the internet before i go and make the wallpapers and pictures online ?? I dont want to be screwed lateron for using copyrighted content.

Can some copy your logo,your show name and internet radio show name and get away with it?

I want to make a 2 minute montage of funny scenes using video clips from my favorite TV show (taken from my DVD collection). Then I would like to host it so other fans of the show can see it. Maybe I will put it on Youtube, or just host it for download on my own website... My question is, could I face any legal trouble for doing this? I understand theres a thing called copyright, but I don't know if this would fall under a gray area or not. I'm not doing this for monetary gain, just as a service to fans or potential fans. I see people posting video clips like these all the time, I just want to know if I would ever have anything to worry about by doing this legally? Comments? PS: I also want to make the montage with background music from a song I own. Would this be another legal issue too?

I'd like to use images from the internet on my webpage. I am not selling the images, but there are ads on my page. Is this illegal? Even if it is literally illegal, is this law actually enforced, and how?

What are the laws behind this? I have a song made that samples an internet video and I'm wondering if i can put it on itunes with out breaking the law.

For a project, I need to make a life todo list. It has to be creative though. I was thinking of finding a picture of (for example) a skydiver, but then paste my face on the picture so it looked like it was me doing so. Is this against copyright? Can i get in trouble for this?

My friend lives in Texas, and recently had his internet shut off plus got a $400 fine from his internet service provider for copyright infringement of illegally downloaded porn. This turns out to have been done by is roommate, but the whole thing just makes no sense. The federal court ruled that an ISP is not responsible for downloads of its customer so why would the go to such a measure? Is there anything he can do?

I have an internet website. It is a great idea along the lines of a 99cent store. But technology not retail.
